This home attempted to reduce the experience of homecoming to basic tectonic moves: transparency, opacity, light, and sound.

A continuous, oversized kitchen island becomes the centre of the home, bleeding to the exterior through an aperture in the courtyard and bisecting the house. A mirrored garage door, fixed ajar, lets green landscape penetrate the interior, passing underneath the kitchen island and into the bedroom.
